This year we traveled to Nashville, TN for Christmas for a whole week! It was nice to get some time to visit friends and family while we were in town and just do some relaxing too. I got to catch up with many friends because I have such a wonderful husband that just watches all of the kids while I get out of the house for a change. It was sooo nice...That was a great Christmas present from him! We stayed at Patrick's parents house while in Nashville but also got to go to my sister Cyndi's house a few times and play with cousins Colgan and Candler. My sister Catie was also able to come to town so we girls plus a high school friends, Brooke, all went to dinner at Puckett's in Downtown Franklin to celebrate Cyndi's birthday, just adults, and had so much fun! One of the fun things about being in Nashville is hearing live music everywhere you go.
We celebrated Christmas with just our little family the week before Christmas so we wouldn't have to cart presents back and forth and it was great. This year we decided to keep Christmas a little more simple and just give 3 presents that represent the 3 gifts the Wise Men gave to Jesus after he was born. It worked out great and the kids loved opening and then playing with their gifts! We went to Cookeville, TN to celebrate Christmas with Nonny's family on Christmas Eve, celebrated Christmas morning at the Hunter's, and then celebrated Christmas with my side of the family on the 27th after my mom arrived. Good times were had all around :) We sang happy half birthday to Micah since he turned 18 months old on Christmas day! We were also able to stop by Grandpa & Granny's house on the way there and back to stay the night and break up the trip. It is very nice to have a stopping place on the drive instead of having to do it all in one very big long day.
