4th of July fun!

We had a very full fun filled day this year on July 4th! We headed to the next town over, Deerfield, where the girls go to preschool and the kids rode their bikes and trike in the kids bike parade in the morning. They had lots of fun and we decorated their bikes with ribbons and red white and blue tissue paper flowers! Next we went to the pancake breakfast and filled our bellies full of delicious syrupy goodness. After this, the kids favorite children's singer, Super Stolie, played a concert in Jewett park where we were already eating so we stayed for that. Then we all walked in the parade with the preschool, Christian Beginnings. It was a pretty warm day and we were all exhausted by the time we headed home. All 3 kids fell asleep in the car on the way home. That evening Patrick and I took the girls to see the fireworks in our town and they loved it! All of the kids that were there just ran up and down a pretty big ditch for about an hour until the show started. When it did they were pretty worn out already so they were nice and still during the show and loved seeing the fireworks! They fell asleep on the way home and slept very well that night ;) The next day we celebrated the kids little friend Mary's 3rd birthday with lots of friends and neighbors. Super fun weekend!

Mary's birthday party, grub time!
A firetruck with 2 fireman came to the party and let the kids sit in the truck and spray the hose!

The kids were amazed!

Micah was ready to jump right in!

Many water balloons were thrown too! The girls chased daddy around and tried to hit him with a water balloon for most of the evening :)
