Charlotte and Hannah Kate are 9 months! I cannot believe how big my two little ladybugs are getting...sometimes it feels like years ago that I first held them, but in that same instant it feels like just yesterday that I met them. They had their 9 month old doctor appointment yesterday and everything looks great:
Charlotte: Weight- 16lbs. 7oz., Height- 27 3/4in., Head Circumference- 17.6in.
Hannah Kate: Weight- 15lbs. 15oz., Height- 27 3/4in., Head Circumference- 17.4in.
They are impressing us daily with all their new skills and discoveries as well! Charlotte is just laid back and happy go lucky for the most part. Whenever she rolls on her stomach she has a hard time figuring out how to get onto her back again, so instead of trying until she gets it she just decides to lay her head down, pop her thumb in her mouth, and watch what's going on from that eye level :) She loves to dance by bobbing her head back and forth whenever there's music playing and will even get strangers to start dancing along with her when we're out and about! A couple of weeks ago we were approaching the door to the nursery at church to pick the girls up when we noticed a woman standing by the door bobbing her head back and forth and as we got to the door we saw Charlotte sitting in the middle of the room dancing for this lady and she was mimicking her...she cracks us up! Hannah Kate is just soaking up the world every chance she can get, always studying her toys and figuring them out. She has figured out how to drop a ball in a hole and will entertain herself for several minutes at a time just dropping balls into a hole exactly big enough for them to fit into and she just loves it! She is a little log roller, rolling halfway across a room to get to a toy she wants. She has gotten her second tooth and has also began making kissy noises at us by clicking her tongue against her lower lip. It's so funny how she was the one always trying to get a laugh out of us a few months ago and Charlotte was always studying something and in her own little world, but once again they have exchanged certain parts of their personalities. Everyday I am so amazed at how quickly they are learning and exploring their little world! They are still not crawling and I am still very pleased by this...I do not want to have to babyproof this house since we'll only be here for another month. I will be happy if they don't crawl before our big move to Va. Beach :) We'll see.
