Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we went to Tennessee and Kentucky for Thanksgiving so we got to see everyone in both of our families. I don't know the last time this happened so it was such a treat! First we went to Nashville for a few days and had a big dinner Nana, then we also had a big dinner with Patrick's family. I was able to see lots of friends while there and it was so good to spend time with people who have been my support system for years after dealing with the hard things that have happened this year.
On Thanksgiving day we drove to Granny & Grandpa's house in Kentucky and stayed there for a few days before finally returning to our home in Illinois. Each year my dad & stepmom host Thanksgiving for my dad's side of the family and we usually have a pretty good turnout. This year took the cake though because all of his family was able to make it, including all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren...54 people in all! It was so good to catch up with family and see everyone under the same roof! While in Louisville we drove through the Lights Under Louisville caves and the kids LOVED it! It's so fun to see the excitement of the holidays through our children's eyes.

The kids school held a Thanksgiving "feast" for the families and the girls class sang songs on a stage. It is always so great because the kids get super excited about performing songs on the stage and having me there that day. And I love seeing them up there! It's amazing how much they are growing up!

I always laugh when I look through the attempts at a family picture!
