Random Pictures from 2014

So I've (Patrick) done a pretty bad job of getting pictures off my phone for the last part of the year, so here's an end of the year photo dump.  Warning...there's no rhyme or reason to these pictures, but they're fun to revisit anyway!
This is what happens when you tell twins to hurry up and put their boots on to go somewhere...HK has 2 right feet, Char has 2 left feet :) I didn't realize it until they had had them on for hours!
My sister Cyndi and her children came to visit after my miscarriage in October. These cousins had a blast playing with each other! It was so good to have them here during that time. L to R: Micah, Candler, Colgan, Hannah Kate, Charlotte
They looked like a gang on wheels patrolling the trail along the lake!

They make each other laugh all the time!
Every Wednesday we have a Mommy & Micah date while the girls are in school. This day we went to Lamb's Farm and rode a carousel and took a train ride all around the farm. After screaming at first because he was scared, he didn't want to leave and screamed when we went to the car!
This boy is so active he's usually got some sort of bump, bruise, or scrape and it usually ends up on his face.

Sweet Hannah Kate
HK was being silly and put her stocking on her foot like a sock ;)
Char (L) & HK (R) enjoying a Santa cookie from Nana
The Rainbow swing set company has a showroom near us that opens to the public for an indoor playground. We met up with some friends there and the kids had a blast!

This is how Charlotte helps me grocery shop these days.
HK chooses to lounge with a free cookie from the bakery ;)
One thing we like to do when people come and visit us is take them on a boat tour in downtown Chicago.  The tours take you on the Chicago river and point out the buildings and talk about the architecture.  The kids like going because there's free cookies and lemonade!

Checking out the Willis (Sears) tower.

Nana came with us on this trip
There's Charlotte in Mommy's lap...proof she made the trip too.
Fun in the backyard pool.
These are from the girls birthday, as mentioned in their birthday post.
L to R: Char, HK, Micah
I threw these in because I love seeing the progression of HK and Micah in the pictures. Those two can be really goofy when they're together.

There is a summer festival every Wednesday evening in the next town over, Highwood, that is close enough for us to walk to. We meet up with several other families from our neighborhood there and it's always a blast! Good food, good company, live music! Here HK is showing the cotton candy she just bummed from Mr. Trey :)

These are from the 1st time Micah's hair was cut. He was sporting a rat tail so it was time to trim the back part off.

We love to go on walks and bike rides along the path in our neighborhood that runs along Lake Michigan, it's beautiful! This is a long bumpy wooden bridge that the kids love to ride over.
For Christmas the girls received new big girl bikes from Nonny & PopPop. This was the maiden voyage ;)
Hannah Kate on her new "Frozen" bike.
Charlotte chose a "Strawberry Shortcake" bike

We were able to actually put up Christmas lights this year! Last year it got way too cold from Thanksgiving on so we didn't get them up. This year we made sure to take advantage of the positive wind chill day we had and get them up!
Patrick put up a train around our Christmas tree and it was Micah's favorite thing to play with.
