Easter fell on April 5th this year, which was the tail end of the kids Spring Break from school. Cousin Colgan's birthday is April 1st, which was the beginning of Spring Break. So we decided to come to TN at the beginning of the week and celebrate an early Easter with the family and Colgan's 5th birthday! She had a gymnastics birthday party and the kids all had a blast! They swung on rope swings out into foam pits, jumped on trampolines, rode zip lines, climbed walls that led to slides that ended in another pit of foam, and ran around a lot! Then they sung Happy Birthday to Colgan and had yummy cake! I had some happy and worn out kids at the end of it all!
While home we also celebrated Easter a little early with family, as well as PopPop's birthday! It was a very exciting trip with lots of celebrations. On Saturday morning (right before Colgan's birthday party) we went to an Easter egg hunt at Patrick's old high school where there were games for the kids with prizes and treats and a giant egg hunt after. Then on Sunday we had another egg hunt at Nonny & PopPop's house followed by a big dinner with Patrick's family, complete with streamers, birthday hats, and blowers! What a fun celebration!
We drove back to Highland Park mid week and celebrated Easter at our house with some neighbors. Charlotte woke up sick with a fever that day so we had to miss church but we still had a lunch with some neighbors complete with yet another Easter egg hunt!
