We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July this year with friends in our neighborhood. One of our little neighbors, Mary, had her 4th birthday party that day so we went over there after lunch and the kids played on some water slides and little pools they had set up and had a blast! We stayed there until evening, came home long enough to get a hearty snack down the kids, and then went to see the Highland Park fireworks. It was so much fun watching the kids delight in the fireworks this year, especially since Micah was big enough to come along this year. They all 3 ooohhed and aaahhhhed and squealed with excitement with each one! Micah can't understand why there aren't fireworks every night and still asks if we can go see fireworks on a regular basis :)
