We went to TN for a whole week this year for Christmas so we celebrated our little family's Christmas up here in IL the weekend before. That morning we went up to the base for a Christmas party where there was food, face painting, games, and the kids got to meet Santa Claus and get a family picture with him. Santa even gave every single child there a Christmas present! We all really enjoyed it. When we came back home we discovered (thanks to the help of our wonderful next door neighbors, Steve & Brie Lorey) that Santa had come to our house and delivered presents while we were gone! There was even a half full glass of milk and an empty plate covered in cookie crumbs on our table! The kids about lost their minds with excitement...it was wonderful!!!
The next week we went to TN to spend Christmas with family and catch up with friends. As usual, we had a very busy schedule from the moment we arrived to the moment we left town and were exhausted at the end of the week, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We went to Nana & Mr. Tracey's house on Christmas Eve for lunch and then to Aunt Cyndi & Uncle John's house for dinner. The next morning, Christmas Day, we celebrated Christmas with Patrick's family at his parent's house and Uncle T, Aunt Jess, and the boys all came over for a big brunch and to open presents together. The rest of our time there was spent catching up with friends and family.
