Happy 1st Birthday Micah!

I can't believe it's already been a year since that crazy day that Micah was born! I am so thankful for this little boy and his temperament in life; he fits so perfectly in our little family :) He gives so much happiness to people he meets every single day and I love watching him interact with the world around him. Everywhere we go he gives out huge smiles and makes complete strangers smile back at him. And  when we go to a restaurant he almost always picks out one lady and decides to flirt with her the entire time we are there. This chosen lady of the day just laughs the whole time and flirts back and you can see her mood is lifted after her interactions with him. It's so fun to watch ;) Charlotte & Hannah Kate absolutely LOVE Micah too! They are so good with him and are doing a good job of including him in their games. The current game they love to play is that Micah is a crab or a crocodile and they try to get him to chase them down the hallway, screaming the whole time that the crab (or crocodile) is going to get them! It's really pretty fun to see their imaginations going wild these days!

What Micah is doing these days:
*Crawling
*Cruising along furniture
*Eating only finger foods, he refuses to eat off of a spoon and insists on feeding himself!
*He loves all things meat...chicken, turkey, pork chops and eats those before the other things on his tray. He also really likes vegetables and thinks most fruits are okay.
*Smiles and laughs all of the time
*Says Mamamamama and Dadadadada
*Nicknames: Micah-roni, Micah man, Micah bug

To celebrate Micah's birthday I made a dairy free chocolate cake with dairy free chocolate frosting and he LOVED it! He ended up demanding more and more and I stopped him after 4 (small) servings! The girls loved singing happy birthday to him over and over again throughout the day and he loved all of the attention. Here are the pictures showing the progression of trying the cake:

I love it when everyone sings happy birthday to me!

Let me try this brown stuff

It's good!

I really like it!

A happy boy after 4 helpings!

Charlotte with her cake & ice cream...I promise the girls were happy while we were having dessert even though they don't look it in the pictures.
