Happy 30th Patrick!

Patrick turned the big 3-0 this year (5/7/13) and we had fun celebrating him! The weekend before his birthday we had a surprise little get together with cousins Taryn, Carter, Nolan, & Grant at a Japanese Hibachi Steak House here in Virginia Beach. He LOVES those types of restaurants and the kids had a pretty good time too (except HK who was terrified of the fire when the chef was giving us the show). On his actual birthday I had gotten him a Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory and some steaks and thick cut bacon from the butcher shop to grill, but he developed a GI bug that day and couldn't stomach much so we cooked those a little later in the week. Poor guy! However, the girls sang him Happy Birthday several times that day and he said that it melted his heart to hear those 2 little voices sing to him :) Then on Memorial Day weekend we planned a dual birthday celebration for Patrick and our friend Tracy who also had a big birthday around the same time. We all went to our friends house, Chris & Marci Holladay, and had a cookout complete with singing happy birthday and a delicious birthday cake! I think he had a good birthday this year! Happy Birthday Patrick/daddy...we LOVE you!
