Happy Birthday Nolan!

Patrick's cousins Matt and Taryn have lived in Virginia Beach at the same time as us over the past 2 years and they have 3 sweet little boys: Carter, Nolan, and Grant. They are also Navy and the moving company had already packed up their house and loaded it on a truck about a week before they could actually move to their new duty station. They didn't have any furniture, pots or pans, dishes, etc. for that last week and it just so happened that Nolan's birthday fell during that time so we had a little party for him at our house and the kids had a blast! We grilled burgers and dogs, had Mac & Cheese, and a delicious cake Taryn brought over. The kids played in the little "family pool" in our back yard and Patrick set up a slip and slide. The boys of course thought it was GREAT but Char and HK were a little scared to hurl their bodies down a slippery piece of plastic ;) Overall everyone had a fun time and I think Nolan had a fun time at his birthday party! We sure do miss having them so near to us, it was such a blessing having them close by during our 2 years in VB.
